Hey guys. I'm interested in getting the bassani sweeper for my 2016 forty eight. I was kinda wondering how the heat affects your leg being positioned the way it is. Is it a big problem or none at all. Anyone with them experience a lot of contact with the exhaust ? Thanks any feedback would help
Mine is on a '14 Softail Slim. So, slightly different position. But, no lie, it gets warm.... Pretty darn warm if I'm stuck in traffic. Even at lights it can get quite warm. Really, it can get downright hot. Not enough to burn, and as soon s I'm in the wind, it's no issue. So, by the time I get home, i don't even think about it... Until I'm stuck in traffic again! LOL
Some days I think about one of those heat defectors... But, I'm still a slave to looks and it hasn't become enough of a problem for me to go there.
I did't choose this exhaust, it was what was on it when I bought the bike (used). It's a little more 'modern' looking than I would normally go for, but it's grown on me...
