Default More Cubic inches for my 88 fxstdi

I recently purchased an 02 Deuce 88 injected bike. my question is what is involved when considering increasing the CU Inches. 95 is the next upgrade from what I gather and on up to ?
are the parts needed do the 95 just the top end? pistons and jugs
what else is needed to make the upgrade work?
heads? cams?
when do the wheels need to be stroked for more cu inches?
I am way behind on the new bikes and what is needed to make more power.
the last stroker I built was on a shovel head years ago and we used an old stop sign for the stroker plates when we increased the stroke.. it was pretty crazy back in the early 80's to make a shovel head really run...
any one care to educate me?

The stroke is where you get your most gains in HP. Stroke will beat cubic inches anyday. I have a stroked EVO that will smokethe new 96 inch motors, and it has! Increasing the cubic inches is alot cheaper, but you dont see the horsepower gains of a stroker....just my 2 cents

thanks Htrod02
are the heads and carb/ injection, cams ect retained or changed?
I would guess intake and pushrods along with the wheels and rods would be replaced pistons also?
what displacement do you now have?

Im running a .600 s&s cam, with ross ceramic coated racing pistons, its bored out .040 and the heads are decked, ported and polished. Im running the ultima 95" stroker cranks in it.Kind of an unfair advantage to the guys with the TC and 96 inches when they pull up along side thinking they are messing with an 80"EVO,lol. But, it also ran me about 2200 bucks for parts! It kind of depends on what you are looking for in HP increase. I took the stock motor and am now running about 105-110 hp. With unbeleivable amounts of torque. I cant even get this thing to hook up when shifting into second, it just breaks the tires loose. But what is more important is the right mixture of heads, cams, etc.I have seen some guys with the TC do well with the right parts, but I have also seen guys throw cams in with no head work and wonder why it wont produce. Justdo your homework and you will be happy in the long run.
