Default D&D fat cat vs python rayzer

I have the d&d fatcat on my RGS but I'm thinking about going with a python rayzer or some kind of side dump.
My question is How much louder is a side dump compared to the d&d?
I put a lot of highway miles on my bike. 10 to 16 thousand miles a year.

It's going to be quite a bit louder as it going to be right up in your right ear for that 10 to 16 thousand miles a year! Those short exhausts can also be a real pain to tune. I'd keep the D&D.

Side dumps are way louder. I had one for 5 years. I'll never have another one

A customer just left my shop and he had the Rayzer on his bike. It sounded a bit louder than the Fat Cat with the perforated baffle that is on my 117" softail. I don't know if it really was much louder or it it was where the sound was (next to me versus behind me) that made it sound louder...Overall I think is sounded pretty close to my bike, it definitely was not a substantial difference in DB's.

I'll bet you'll change your mind after sittin' on top of 'em for a few thousand miles.

Its not the db's its where the sound exits... I am all for loud pipes on my bikes, and would not have it any other way. With side dump exhaust you will loose your mind over time. Trust me i owned several bikes with them installed. Keep the D&D !!!!!!!

Keep the D&D exhaust - not only would it be louder but the shorter pipe I bet would also reduce performance
