Default Street Cannons on full stage 1?

Currently just have the cannons on, but considering doing a full stage 1 with headers. I like how the cannons look and sound, but how are they with a header? How does the sound change? Are they a good exhaust performance or are they limiting? I have another muffler I could put on if needed.

Subscribed. I have the same question.

I currently have Street Cannons with the factory headers with cats still in the pipes on my '16 RGU along with the HD stage 1 A/C and dealer flash to the ECM. Runs good, sounds good to me - though I know lots of folks like louder mufflers. I'm wondering how much increase in sound and power I'll get if I replace the headers with gutted factory ones or going with Fuel Moto 2-1-2 headers, along with an FP3 or? Less heat from the headers?

I expect I could get more power with less restrictive mufflers, but I want to keep it relatively quiet.

I'm with you. My bike sounds good and runs well with the cannons and a flash. Not too many people seems to use the street cannons on a stage one from what I'm gathering (aka, i can find very little info on the web).

I'm looking forward to a slight performance increase, plus some heat reduction.

OP......if I were you, I'd spend the money on a TTS or PV versus a FP3 and get a real tune if you're going to go full stage one. Just my personal opinion tho, YMMV.

I had the Street Cannons on my bike with the Cobra Power Port Duels. Without the cat, they were way to loud for me. I tried inserting some restrictors between the muffler body and the tips, but they were still to loud. I gave them to a friend who has the stock head pipe and the sound great.

IMO, they do not work well without the cat. YMMV. Good luck and let us know what you decide and how it works out.

I've done that change twice and should have learned from the first try. Street cannons have a great sound with oem headpipes and a cat but if you lose the cat by gutting it or changing headpipes the sound totally changes. They get raspy and hollow sounding IMHO. I am currently running Street Cannons with the stock headpipe and definitely will NOT change headpipe with my Stage 1 build. I'm not the only one who made this mistake. I know several others that put catless headpipes on when running street cannons and ended up buying new mufflers when they should have kept the CAT. I've read several tests on flow and the CAT does not have a real significant change on reducing flow, it was more a heat issue. I don't have either of those issues with my M8

Thanks. Confirms what little I have heard when doing a stage 1 with the Street Cannons. I will use my mufflers I have in reserve.
