Default 2016 FXDLS install question

I recently installed the road rage 3 from Bassani on my Dyna. Looks and sounds great. I've noticed that on both exhaust ports one stud had more threads exposed than the other. I followed the torque specs, and sequence in the service manual. Just wondering if this is normal, or if I should loosen the headers and muffler and re-torque. Thanks!

You're fine. There's nothing to worry about as long as both the stud bolts have a good bite on the studs. Run a few heat cycles through the engine and then re-torque the bolts to spec. You can then do what I do, double nut the studs or use a crown bolt to "cap" them off.

Phew haha. Yeah it's like almost 3 threads on one and 5 on the other on both ports. I've got a couple hundred miles on them, as retorqued after the first few rides. Just wanted to double check.

Just go ahead and double nut them and you won't have to worry any more.

Is the Road Rage 3 new? I only see Road Rage and Road Rage II on Bassani's website.
