Default 2 into 1 question

I have a 2009 Harley Davidson Electra glide ultra classic. I recently put a power commander v on and a Roland sands design air intake. I was thinking about soon the 2 into 1 mod I read about on the forums. Where you cut off the left side pipe and block off the right side pipe making it a 2 into 1 exhaust. I have Screamin eagle street cannon slip ons right now and would leave it on after the mod. Do you think it is worth it to improve performance? I also plan on cutting the catalytic converter out to help with heat build up. The air intake really helped with power. I've read mixed reviews on doing this. It's a 96 ci. Thanks in advance for any help.

You need to take a closer look at YOUR system... and unless yours is a California scooter you have no convertor.

I plan on removing the slip on and looking inside to see if it's there. I hope it isn't.

It's not in the slip on ... If it had one ( and it would only have one if it had a California Emissions Package ) it would be located in the union of the two exhaust pipes ( basically between the floorboards on the right side ( brake pedal side ) of the scooter.

I know where it is located but by removing my slip on I should be able to use a flash light to see if it further up the pipe in the area where they join into one pipe. (The union)

I have a 2009 Road Glide and I recently put a DanMoto 2-1 Stainless exhaust on it. I cost me $260 shipped. It fits really nice, sounds great and the finish is great. There are a few videos on youtube. Just something to think about.

My stock exhaust didnt have any honeycomb cat converter in it when I took it off so yours shouldnt either unless ur in CA. I think the stock header converted to a 2-1 would look kind of weird.
