cam support plate/oil pump...tc/88
Hello, i am putting this post up for my father....i typed what he said.
camlobe of front inake flaked off. oil pump face gears gualded. cam support plate has slight gauling. I am planning on changing to gear drive cams with new lifters feuling oil pump. question, can i run it on the old cam support plate with the slight gualing? can anyone please help him out? thanks?

All the cam plates scar a bit where the oil pump gyro runs....not seeing the plate makes it difficult to give you a answer, can you take a picture and post it?

When I went to gear drive cams in my 03, I installed a Delcron cam support plate, a bit more durable . If you gotta change it, something to consider.
