2017 Street Cannon Modification
I have a 2017 Street Glide Special. Have Street Cannon mufflers, head pipe has been de-cated, Stage 1 with a K&N high flow air filter. I like the look and sound but noticed that the hole for the exhaust to come out is about 1 1/4 in dia. The muffler is 4.5 in dia. I noticed that there is a welded tube I was wondering if anybody has removed the tube and opened the opening for the exhaust to get a deeper sound and possible a little louder. Looking forward to your responses.

The volume of the can is what gives the deeper tone, not the diameter of the exit tube. If you want a little louder, drill a hole in the pinched tube that is in the middle of the can. Look up the muffler with a flashlight and you will see it.
