Screamin' Eagle Street Performance Slip-On Mufflers
I've been eyeing these mufflers as possible slip ons. Part # is 80721-09 . How are these in comparison sound wise to either the Thunder Street Performance Muffler Part #65115-10 or the Street Performance Touring Muffler?
I see that the Thunder Street Performance says that they are tuned to worked with the Cat header pipe. I have a 2010 header with the cat removed on the way so...I think mtclassic is running this exhaust with the stock header (cat)
I'm looking for a deeper rumble but not too much louder than stock....the Street Performance exhaust says it gives off a more aggressive tone....is this the wrong slipon to be looking at if I want a deeper rumble than stock?
I have the # 80721-09 on my 09' (no cats) they are slightly louder than stock at idle. Quite a bit deeper tone, they are substantially louder than stock when you gas on it. At 70mph you can hear the stereo without a problem.
They do have the 50 state EPA stamp of approval, which may become an issue soon depending where you live.
I do have the street thunders with cat still in place. I just recently put in baffles from Supertrapp se series (pretty much a straight thru baffle) designed to be used with cats in place and it sounds very nice. Very deep low beefy rumble. I think without the cat it would be pretty loud. The baffle on the street thunder has a little obstruction but still not too much so it would probably sound quite a bit louder without the cat.
Thanks for the info guys...as I said in the other thread I just picked up a set of the SE Street Performance #80742-09 at a really good price. It is the same pipe but black instead of chrome....see how they look with my Sedona Orange

Yeah I really like the looks of your pipes but thought they might be a little bit louder than I wanted without the cat in place. These pipes say they have removable baffles so maybe I'll be able to change the note if I want to. I'll see how they sound and if I don't like them it will be an easy enough fix to swap them out for something else

Hey Ron- I ended up finding a 2010 header pipe with the cat removed from it. Going to give this combo a try and see how it looks and sounds......I'll probably give the xieds a shot as well

Hey, you didn't buy it from a guy on Ebay did ya? I was lookin at a set from a guy named Rollinfast or something like that, But they went higher than I wanted to go. Let me know how it runs when you get it all setup. I'm still looking and thinking...LOL.
Here's my thinking!
1= Leave the damn thing alone.
2= V&H Dressor dual head pipe with the Jackpot's I have now.
3= Fuelmoto's Headpipe with my Jackpot's.
4= V&H Pro Pipe.
5=Remove the cat from my pipes and see if my jackpot's are too loud/
See how confusing this **** can get..
Yep very confusing! lol Yes that was the guy...I basically sold some floorboards from my VTX and with the same money I bought the headpipe. Yeah it was a little more than I wanted to spend to but considering got all the heatshields etc and someone has done the cutting , gutting and welding it is not too bad. Less than a V&H header plus I don't have to touch my OEM header in case I need it in the future I may get this headpipe cermaic coated as well. Another member here had it done at a place not to far from here and liked the results

Sounds like you have some options lined up.
I'm glad you won them Port Dawg. Let me know how they workout for you. Sounds as if your thinking is along the lines of mine. Will be interesting to see how you like the setup. I'm in no hurry! Got all winter before the cat heat next summer.
