This might be a dumb question, but I just noticed on my 2019 Tri Glide that one of the exhaust pipes sticks out further on the right side than on the left by about 2 inches. Other than looks, is this done on purpose? And if I wanted to make them look even, is that something I can do myself or should I find someone to do it. Worked on cars my whole life, but never a bike. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
[QUOTE=Slingshot383;17932143]Loosen the muffler clamps and push/ pull them until they are even across the back and retighten the clamps.[/QUOTE
I've seen uneven mufflers but never by anything even close to 2 ". I think in most muflers, the clamping surface isnt much longer than 2". Sounds like your clamp failed or was never torqued correctly, you probably felt/heard vibration from a loose muffler?
No, just noticed it while wiping down the back. Just bought it about three weeks ago. Brought it over to the dealer yesterday. He looked at it at told me you, your right, they are uneven. He started laughing then and wondered how someone in the factory could screw it up that bad. Said to give him an hour and they would be perfect. Took 2 hours, but with no appointment I expected that. He said everything was fine with them, they just were not lined up right at the factory.

Its a 10 minute job on a new bike if it was just not lined up.
