remaping exhaust
To replace slipon pipes with straight or another set of pipes for a 2000 roadking classic fuel inj, most dealers say they need to remap the computer like 300 to 500 bucks is this really necessary or is there another way

For JUST pipes no it's not necessary, but it would run much better with the addition of a fuel management system like a TFI to richen it up a bit even if you don't go for the intake yet.
