Default Anything else needed for changing pipes?

I currently have some vance and hines big radius on order for a night train,09 model. Do I need to purchase any type of fuel management system or anything, or will it be fine as is?

I had the dealer remap my ride after I changed out my air filter and exhaust .... they say you have to when ever you change engine components but who knows ...

It'll be OK if you're just doing pipes. If you're running anything other than the stock a/c, you'll need to deal with fuel management.

That said, the bike runs too lean as delivered, and it'll run better with the fuel management dealt with.

Oh you'll get plenty of recommendations....

If all you're ever planning on doing is the a/c and pipes, you'll do fine with a PC-V or something like that. If you plan on going farther someday, I'd recommend the TTS Mastertune.

its very open for discussion and many posts, but I went with a power commander due to all my friends having one and easy to use and it works. You can buy one on line with a map already set up for your bike so you dont have to get it Dyno'd.

The options:
Power Commander
AN Big Shots
HD Download
SERT
Thundermax
etc...

The one thing I would advise you to stay away from is the dealer's "Stage 1 download". I had it on my bike and it ran like crap.

F***ing THIS. I am dealing with my (now closed) dealer's "Stage 1 Download"... my '08 NT gets about 22 mpg after installing V&H's Short Shots. They never offered my any type of fuel management system and at the time, I was too ignorant to know that it was necessary. I now have to drop about $300 to fix the issue. On top of not getting good mpg, it's not good for my valves either. I'll be going with the Fuelpak.

I just slapped on a set of V&H big shot staggerds and a zippers high flow. I went with the PCV from Fuel moto (map preloaded). It couldn't have been easier. The bike runs fine. I'm heading out on a 500 mile trip this weekend. I'll let you know about mileage after that. So far everything is A ok!

The PCV install is a snap. A bit different if you include the autotune.
