rattling baffle

rattling baffle

My right side baffle is rattling. If you talk to V&H they tell you that you should replace the baffles every year anyway[sm=wtf.gif]so I took it apart and yes some of the packing is burnt off and gone, but not sure if that is why it rattles or not. Will rewrapping it stop the rattle or should I just spend the $20 and get a new baffle? If new, should I buy both sides or just the problematic one? What does one use to rewrap just regular insulation?

Got a bud in WA who is into Hot Rods (4 wheel) big time. He uses an asbestos wrap on his headers. Most performance shops carry it, not sure what the packing in baffles is made of though.

Hey Dawg, I have the same problem, have sent V&H a email on this but havent heard from them as of yet. So how do you get the baffle out? I'm having this problem with the left side.
