Take a look at Fullsac performance 2 into 2 head pipe. Their head pipe used stock heatshields. Pair the head pipe with a good pair of mufflers, Your good to go.
I have a 14 Ultra Limited with 32K miles. I am looking for insight on upgrading Air Intake and Pipes (will be tuned after installed). I am looking at an Arlen Ness Big Air Sucker 2 vs Arlen Ness Inverted Series. What is the real difference and is it really worth it? Second would be in combo with intakes, Slip On vs Full exhaust system. Again I have narrowed it done to D&D Fat Cats vs Rinehart 2:2 full systems? Any thoughts or recommended combos with these options would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I agree with 98HotRodFatBoy. When you upgrade the intake and mufflers and retune you will end up with more unburned fuel going through the cat. This will increase the temperature of the cat making your exhaust system even hotter. My opinion is based on the knowledge I've learned following Kevin Baxter on Youtube. Go with a full system and a great tune.
The Catalytic Converter has got to go, period.
Headpipe options are almost as plentiful as mufflers. Save yourself some money and get the combo that looks and sounds good to you, the first time... Go to your local H-D dealership on a day when the local HOG group is there, or early Saturday morning. You can hear the bikes as they come in for service on Saturday morning. Look at bikes, hear the bikes. Most guys will start their bike and let you listen to it. Make an informed personal decision for yourself, not what you read about what someone else likes. Buy once, cry once...

I have a 2014 SGS 103 with Andrews 48H cams, D&D Fatcat with a Arlen Ness big sucker air intake and Technoreasearch tuner, 100hp and 110tq. Sounds great, runs great.
You will not extract the maximum HP and torque from exhaust for a Harley unless you use a 2 into 1.
Having said that, Do you need to run a 2 into 1?.... NO
Most like about 98 percent of HD pilots never see north of 4000 rpm for any sustained amount of time.
Foucus on the torque band, not the HP curve and you will be a happy camper.
A nice wide torque band gives you the acceleration you desire and makes around town riding easier in traffic.
