I had the same upgrade to my flhtpi, didnt change the pushrods.
I've heard some change them out to make it easier to swap out cams and such without having to tear down the top end to get pushrods out,I thought about doing this, but the coin was running low and I had other things I needed done on the bike .
I'm told you back off the adjustment on the rod,and they can be removed without tearing into the top end, saves alot of time and labor when doing cam work.
What if any reason would you need to change your push rods when having a big bore kit installed with 203 cams on a 2005 FLHRCI?
No good reason at all.
If the heads are coming off for the BB anyway, the stock (non-adj.) pushrods are easily removed and replaced.
If in the future, work needs to be done in the cam chest, labor can be saved by cutting out the stockers and going to adjustables, leaving the heads alone.
Really how often are you changing cams?? IT is only a way for the dealer to suck you in for a few more dollars. They are not needed until you go over 550 lift. If you have to go intot he cam chest they will save you time but it is not a regular thing to be swapping the cams , you can inspect the lousy stock tensioners with out removing anything other than the cam cover.
