Greetings All,
I am going to install a set of punched out slip ons (not open straight through, but close) but at this time not upgrading intake. This is on a 02 FI FLHT, all factory. Does anyone think I need to re-map now or can wait till intake upgrade? So I'll have no worries of running too lean.
Thanks in advance
Joe
There is really no point in "punching out" the exhaust if your not going to increase the intake flow to the engine. But anytime an engine has its dynamics changed a remap should be done. The engine runs lean as it is already, but allowing it to flow a bit more air, your just going to lean it out even more. Best thing to do is wait on the exhaust until your replace the intake and are able to do a remap at the same time with a feulie.
