05 road king
I have an 05 road king classic that i jst did a big boar on, HTCC heads and pistons,Wild things 4g cams,roller rockers and perfect fit push rods. I am running a Bassani 2into1 exhaust. I am using the stock CV carb with the harley version of the thunderslide kit. main jet is 200 and the needle is set in the middle. It seems to run great so far...120miles. I just get alot of popping back through the exhaust on deceleration. Just looking for some opinions. thnx

Popping is nothing but perfect combustion in the exhaust system....you have to disrupt this perfect combustion with adding or subtracting fuel. Usually if it is a loud firecracker pop you need to add fuel and if it is a blubbering pop you need to remove fuel. The only circuit your on during decel is the idle circuit which is controlled by the pilot jet. No need to change the main or needle for DECEL popping. Adjust the idle mixture richer or leaner (which ever way you need to go) and if you can't reach your goal of no decel popping with the mixture screw change out the pilot jet and readjust the mixture again.
