Not really a problem here as much as a question. I'm in the garage looking at my 06 Springer and the wife's 07 Deuce and noticing that there are differences in the engine cases. Has HD posted someplace any information about all the changes to the TC engines between 06 and 07? I knew they have more displacement and 6 speed tranny but I thought that was all top end stuff and the bottom cases were the same. But like I said, there are differences in the cases.
I also noted the cam chain tensioner inspection window is gone for 07 - naturally since they have the auto adjuster. In any case, I guess I expected that all the changes were internal and that you'd be unable to tell the difference between a TC88B and a TC96B from the outside. Now that I see that's not true, I am intrigued and want to know more.
There are many changes that where done to the 07.Some being the balance weights have been lightened, the crank pin side of the rods made heavier, Wristpin and pistons lighter, the primary drive it totally different, cam tensioners and oil pump are better than the 06....this justnames a few of the changes, there are more when you get into the trany. Maybe you should trade the wife...lol
