They arebut your not building a drag bike so rather than hack the heads to get compression with the flat tops we recommend the slight domes. This way if you ever go bigger with dissplacement the heads aren't too small.

If the cylinder heads are machined for a particular build, and at a later date,a enginelarger is what you want, we canspin the head and can precisely remove material to enlarge the chamber, to establish the needs, and/or go with a cam that can utilize the extra squeeze. More than one way to skin a cat.
