To HDWRENCH's response: AMEN!!!!! To each his own!! But I've been there done that too, and super low gearing is only good for holeshots in my opinion. Ever driven a hot rod with 4:11 gears on the highway?? Very unpleasant to say the least.
The 6 speed gearbox will help to lower your revs on the highway but...........
If you ride fast with others, you probably won't like your engine screaming while others are are just humming along. Don't get me wrong, lower gears are great, but there is no need to get that drastic unless your engine is underpowered in the first place.
Remember too, if MAX EVO is running a EVO motor, they won't withstand the higher revs that a TC motor can. Sounds to me that "traveler" is used to Kawasaki's high revving characteristics, and not accustomed to Harley motors.
Again, to each his own, and to MAX EVO, use your own disgression, just trying to help & not misguide you!
yea........I'm running 3.73's in my supercharged Mustang...........I guess I just love having a good set of gears!
Local guy has a 95 inch dyna with a hair dryer on it. I have the dyno sheet here somewhere. but it made 0ver 200 hp and it is a mild build. But the pluming on it is way too much for me. Late buiding power, as "I" think the turbo is too big it either needs a ceramic impeller or a smaller turbo. It really starts to make power by 3800, soooo he is always on the boost. Bike is funny to see as if it is under that very slow until the boost comes on then he rips the paint off your bike on the way by with a great big WHOOOOOSH!!!!!!!!!!
theres a guy around here with a bagger with a turbo it has such bad turbo lag that he hits about 4 grand then snap he's bouncing off the rev limiter seems like a waste .if he had a turbo half the size he'd get a lot more usable power
