Hello Guy's,
I bought a set of used Screaming Eagle performance slip ons for my 06 FLHT/I. I bought new turn down/out tips and it looks like it will be a pain getting them on. The end caps slip into the end of the mufflers without the spring clips with the nut but I can't seem to get them started with them on. The instructions say you should install the ends with the exhaust off the bike and may require a rubber hammer but I'd rather not take them off for the install, and with the curve of the tips I cant see using a rubber hammer would work. Does anyone have any suggestions ?
Thanks,
capt42a
I finally figured out how to install the S.E. tips without pulling the mufflers. I didn't slide the clip fastners on the tip before putting the tips in the end of the mufflers, I reached inside the mufflers and held the fastners with my hand and put the screws in that way.
