I have samson duals with thunderheader slipons and love the sound and look. Now prepare your self for all the horror stories from the guys with 2-1 exhaust systems. Your bike will run alot better than stock. The stage 1 is the biggest bang for your buck. The biggest thing is to get your bike dyno tuned by somebody who knows what they are doing, Which means I would stay away from the dealerships. Find a good indy.

You dug up a thread from Jan '08 and then respond to it like that in your first post? You don't see any of the serious performance guys one here running T-Headers and there is a reason for that.

A couple points to consider:
1) Tru-duals, while looking and sounding nice, cannot develop the same hp/tq below 3000 rpms that a good 2into1 can produce.
2) Thunderheader slipons are not a good slipon for power below 3000rpms.
That said, there are 2 things hurting your bottom end power.

While we still use a lot of Thunderheader 2into1's because they consistantly produce great power, the Thundercone slipons do not have anywhere near enough restriction to help low rpm power.

Also, while there maybe a few who do not think T/H's are a great pipe, I challenge them to a dyno run-off with virtually any build under 120ci.

Bring your best pipe to the dyno and we'll measure the peak performance, then slip on our shop beater T/H (boy is it ugly after 1000's of comparison runs over the past 10 years) and do a comparison.

Just sayin'
Bob

FWIW, the pipe on the bike in your avatar is one we've run across over the years and have never seen them work very well, probably due to the huge difference in primary lengths.
These engines simply need longer primary lengths to be good performers.
You don't see a lot of these "and there is a reason for that".
Just my $.02,

Don't recall making any claims as to the superiority of my pipe, that being said I'll stick with my 88hp and 100 ftlbs out of a bone stock motor and you can keep that fugly azz TH.
