I think that buy the time you buy even the cheapest items you would need to port the heads you could have it done by a shop. You did not list the year your your bike. So if you where to have a set of 06 heads that would be the best route to start with. We done bother with the stock valves as they are most time not worth the effort when you can buy a drop in valve that will last longer and give you better flow. We use the KW black diamond valves, viton seals, stock springs and guides. Mild porting , cc the chambers and deck to desired cc volume , cut valve seats. All of this is done for 275.

Now if you are set on doing this your self check out a few places to buy the sand roll's and mandrels like CC specilties. They carry the porting tools you would need to do the job correctly. Then you will need a valve spring compressor, and then have some else tore cut the seats as that tooling is not cheap.

I think if you plan on doing this as a after hours job then get the tooling. But for a one time deal I think it would be hard to spend the money only to use the tooling for one set of heads

if factory gaskets are .052 and chamber are 85ccs compression should be 9.8 with 189psi ccp so i will try to use the 204s if it pings any opinions on the 211s or 251s?? i would like to keep as much low and midrange torque as possible. s.e. cams are 235.00 at zannottis is why im using them.
