I went with SE cast 10.25:1 pistons, cut the domes down about half way, and used the Andrews 37 cams. No milling required, just a clean up on the ports, and fresh valve job, and the stock pushrods went back in as well. Mine made 87/93 in hot weather with no issues. Another forum member just did a similar build without cutting the pistons and with SE 204s and made 89/95.

I just took out 203 from my 95 Bagger. Hated them. Lazy on the bottom. I'm building Bigboyz heads milled for 9.4-1 w/.030 gasket TW21's. flattops. Good for trailer towing.

I ran a similar set up sans the big boyz heads. You will love the low end torq and you will suprise some big builds in 50mph 5th gear roll ons.Everybody says the 21's run out of steam too early but you are over the ton mark before you know it.

Your compression will be raised simply by going from 88" to 95" swept volume.Milling your heads .060" will remove approximately 14 cc's from your combustion chamber, and also will give you manifold fitment problems, as another poster said. You would probably have to elongate the holes in your upper motor mount, as well. The 203 cams seem to cause detonation at even moderate compression ratios.Almost any other mild cam would probably be better.TheS&S 510 cams will tolerate more compression and give better torque and horsepower numbers, in my opinion, but I wouldn't mill that much off the heads if I were you. Stock combustion chambers are usually between 85-87 cc's

According to my caculation if you shave .040 off you loose 14 ccs and the .030 will loose another 3 or 4 and that will give you 17 call it 18 to be safe thats close to 1.7 to 1.8 :1 increase. If running 9.3 pistons thats close t0 11:1.Youll need good duration cam 270 at .050 or close In my opion and then you might have detonation in realy bad air condition or very hot riding.I know because this is what I just did with 95 ci.Its not big thing just beware that when you want to go fast it can cost.I agree that .060 migh be bit much.also if using 203 cams be two problems one detonation big problem.two you ll need push rods and if doing so why not by bigger cam and add some new springs.Hp power cost dollars.

On my way to Daytona yesterday I dropped off my cylinders ina little town called Palatka Fl at an indy I've known of for years (Anahops). He said my cylinders should be ready this Wednesday (bore to 95").

This is the last thing I need done before I start this build...[sm=gears.gif]
