Default O2 sensor

New pipes finally come in tomorrow, so tom night me and a six pack are gonna dig into it. The only part I'm unsure of is the O2 sensors, just because I've never fooled with them before. Are there any tips and tricks I should know to removing them? Is there a wrong way to take them off, or is it as simple as it looks? Figured I'd ask before forking something up. This is gonna take place on an '08 FXDC.

Pretty much as simple as it looks, you can use either a special socket made for 02 sensors or slip a 7/8ths wrench over the wiring after you remove the exhaust, just a warning, they can be VERY tight. If you choose to use antisieze on the re-install be sure to not get any on the probe part of the sensor, it will render it useless.

Got the pipes and the high flow air cleaner on tonight. The O2 sensors where the only part that did give me trouble. My dumba$$ didn't look into it hard enough, and it looked to me that they couldn't be unplugged. They proved a bitch to get started into the new pipes, and I thought I forked up the threads on them at one point, but I got them in. The Fuel Pack is tomorrow night, started to get into it tonight, and after about 10 minutes I decided to wait until later.

I'm in the same boat as you. except i have a powercommander III I don't know about the vand h fuel pack but with the pc III you use o2 eliminators and I have read you don't want to leave the o2 sensors in if you are not using them. They can go bad if you do. (in case you want to use them another time)youshould plug the holes instead.
