skeefer, you're going to hear a chorus of voices proclaiming that 2-2s suffer from low TQ at lower RPMs where you ride the most....and for the most part it's true. HOWEVER, I firmly believe that a properly matched 2-2 *stepped* header pipe does a fine job across the entire RPM spectrum. 2-2 pipes and low end TQ are NOT necessarily mutually exclusive.
My V&H Bigshot longs have a built in power chamber to give the 2-1 function and performance with the 2-2 look. I'm not sure if they have otherpipes with the same features?
2-into-1 will typically make more power across the board. True Duals sound better (just my opinion). I run the D&D Fat Cat 2-into-1 and I love it. I think the Rinehart true duals have a better sound but I love the look of the D&D and the performance increase over stock.
