Posted this in softail forum but didn't get any responses. Thought I would try here. Anyone running an exposed ac like a heavy breather notice the filter drying out fast? I cleaned and oiled mine and rode it to work 2 days in a row and the top of the filter already looks dry. It's in the 90's here but I thought it should hold the oil better than that. Any suggestions?

 

That's normal. Don't worry about it, there's still plenty of oil soaked down in there to do the job. It doesn't take much. It's easy to over oil one.
