Default Filter Oiling

I installed the Heavy Breather Elite last weekend and the filter has already lost most of its red coloring. I know the color is from the filter oil so question is, should I have to oil it again already? How often does it need cleaned & oiled?

I used them for many years. I would not re-oil. Follow what the mfg suggestion on cleaning. Good luck

I clean and oil mine at my 5k services.

I have the same heavy breather as you and when it turns gray I clean and re oil. I do it twice a year.

The guys at K&N told me that the color fades. No need to re-oil til you clean it.

Damn, That sucker's huge. Makes heads look little. Anyways I clean and re-oil mine when the front side is full of bugs.
