I haven't started my bike in 2 years. Put a new battery in turns over fine, I suspect that the gas of the carb has some issues (I'm not that mechanical). What can I do to try and get my bike started? Any advice is appeciated.
Carb jets are sure to be clogged and gummed up...the carb needs to come apart and cleaned. If your not mechanical gifted I'd take it to some one who is.
Did you drain the gas tank off all the old fuel?
Change fuel filter? Make sure battery was good/charged?
I would refill the tank w/fresh fuel (and maybe some seafoam or MMO).
Shoot some starter fluid in the carb and hit the starter.....!!!!!
Now, if you didn't get at least a "POP".......your carb could be
clogged/gummed.........or no spark to the plugs. Check for spark.
If you're not that mechanical your best bet is to take it to somebody who is. As the others have said, your problems are probably connected to letting gas sit in the fuel system. They'll have you up and running in no time.
