You are correct...the Thinder Slide takes away the concept of the Constent Velocity, all you need for tuning is the $75.00 kit from Duno Jet. \\;
It's hard to beat a CV carb for all around drivability, MPG, tunability, and performance. \\; There are alot of people who don't know that they'd be happier with a CV than what they're running, IMO. \\; If I'm ever making more than about 170 RWHP then I'll consider something other than a CV carb (I'd go Super D at that point.)
