V.H. vs. Cobra
I have a set of cobra classic slash cuts on my Suzuki Volusia, and for being a 800cc bike, with those pipes my bike is violently loud, I like it (when I ride with friends I bring up the rear to save their ears from my pipes, they complain too much if I take the lead), it has a great tone to it, however I find myself wearing ear plugs when I ride with a skull cap, mainly because of the wind noise though at high speeds, and from the pipes at low speeds(got to save my good ear). My question is does anyone have any experience with Cobra pipes on a HD? and what would the recomendation between the two different manufactures? I'm planning on getting a softtail standard when I get my reenlistment bonus and am in the process of determining aftermarket stuff to add on the bike. I checked out V.H.'s site and listening to the adio clips of the different pipes I really like the sound and looks of the big radius.
