I have a 2005 anniversary fatboy and \\;I understand from the dealer that harley had a bunch of bad seats on the 1550 engine. they corrected the problem in future engines. does anyone know \\;how to get harley to pay for the fix. the dealer said its not a safety issue,( ergo, not a recall) \\;it just fouls the plugs after a short period of time....just wondering if anyone else had this problem.... \\; \\;
yes, the 05s had some bad valve stem seals. if Its out of warrenty, good luck. It may be impossible to get covered. I have an 05 Dyna, and I just bought some heads on Ebay (150$) \\;and had Head-Quarters port them and put upgraded HP seals and valves on them. that was over 900$ PLUS my labor to R&\\;R them.

Big boyz head service can do a budget port job and upgraded seals for around 400$ give or take 100$ either way you will love the boost in torque and \\; HP.
