I put a forcewinder air intake on my 2002 wide glide...Carbed..... anyways when I GET ON it in first gear, the motor starts to sound like it Misses or crackles, is the way I describe it..the kit has 2 bolts that go into the heads then has aq hose off each side going into a little filter..
Did you remap your ECM?? Sounds like you may be running real lean which could be very very bad. By the way...make sure you run a water proof pre filter on that force winder...When it rains you will injest water...you cant compress a liquid and you will have an unholy event inside your motor.

1-You can't remap the ECM on a Carbed bike.
2-There is no way you will get enough water ingested thru the air filter to do any damage to the engine.
I just found some threads on here about turning up the mixture screw... sounds like what I need... they say that the carbs are set lean from the factory due to EPA guidlines..
there are directions on how to do it, I guess you take off the carb and drill out the plug covering the screw.....
