Can anyone tell me if there is a part 3 to look for on a screaming eagle muffler? Also why is everyone selling off their sreaming eagle stuff so cheap, I know Harley is going to stop making it , is that the only reason
I looked all over my SE slip-ons and cant find any part #. The only # I have is on the box they came in. HD, is discontinuing their line of SE mufflers and exhaust because of the noise and EPA regulations and the threat of huge fines imposed by selling and installing these items. As far as everyone selling their SE stuff "cheap" may I ask where I can get in contact with them as I just purchased my SE slip-ons from my dealer and I had to beg to get 10% off list price. It is true that once the supply of SE mufflers are gone there will be no more. From other posts I have read it seems that some dealers are not going to be ordering in any more SERTs once they run out. (fear of EPA fines also) In my opinion the EPA will eventually put alot of people out of work. Look what they did to the steel industry in our country 15 years ago. Sorry I got off the topic....................BG
Seems like I found out that the pipes I bought which are used are for a Fat Boy and a Duece, I can't use them on my Heritage, BTW these were used pipes that the guy got off a wrecked bike but couldn't remember what it was as I think he does it all the time. But I was at a Swap Meet in Harrisburg , PA this weekend and that is where I picked them up. But I saw so many sets og SE's that it was unreal, I just wasn't prepared with the right info for my bike.
But then I was at a local HD dealer today asking about the part number 80444-R and it is actually part number 80444-03 as both pipes but the R on the one pipe simply stands for right side. And as we were talking he asked me if I knew that HD was going to stop selling certain SE pipes and I sdaid yes, but he said they are placing a huge order for them so they have them to sell as they expect that once they are not being made they will be in demand and the price will go up accordingly.
I think I am going to put these pipes on eBay and see what a set of Fat Boy or Deuce SE's will bring, so I can get my money back and go order a new set.
