Screaming Eagles???
When I purchased my bike I paid over 700.00 for screaming eagle upgrades. I am now trying to sell them on ebay and the guy says they are not screaming eagles I have the receipt that says "SE" pipes and I called a local dealer that says they are but this guy insist they are not. Does anyone know how I can be sure? I have the part number off of them. Here is the serial number off of the pipes. 80469-06 model number HARXL/S/883/1200. The last thing I want to do is rip someone off. And also want to be sure I wasn't ripped off by the dealer.
Here's the link to the pipes if you want to see the photo. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

Those are in fact real SE pipes although the later design. The earlier ones had SEII (off road only) on them. The recent SE catalog shows your pipes which are street legal.
I agree with "notorious". Those are the new Street Legal Screaming Eagle slip-ons. They ARE SE slip-ons, but your buyer was probably thinking he was buying the SE II "competition" slip-ons which do not say "Harley-Davidson", but simply "Screaming Eagle II" in smaller print on the ends of the pipes. That being said, IMHO there is nothing misleading in what you say in your ad on eBay since you don't say "not street legal".
