The 03' Ultra I just bought has aftermarket pipes installed. The guy I bought it from said he had the stage 1/download done. The bike sounds awesome but I have looked all over the pipes to see a manufacture brand but can't find one. Did the older Screaming Eagle pipes have any markings? They do have removable end caps and I want to change em out to fishtails but want to make sure they are SE?
My understanding is that the Super Trapp SE is the same 2 piece muffler as the HD SE. You will be able to get the end caps from them if HD doesn't have any.
If you take the bag off and look by the mounting bracket there should be a part number there that you could check. I bought my bike used as well and it's supposed to have screaming eagle pipes on it but they don't say screaming eagle on them butIthink that they are.
The marking might be on the inside, the old screaming eagle'sare the same as the SuperTrapp SE.s and you can mount with the marking in or out. SuperTrapp made the Sceaming Eagle II's for HD.
The SE's that came on my '02 didn't have a Scream'n Eagle script I don't think. The only markings I remember noticing were thepart#'s (different one on each muffler) and some wording to the effect that they were intended for closed circuitcourse use, I thinkmine are the racing ones.

I pulled the bags and looked by the bracket. Nothing? No SN#, no part# or anything? I was able to remove the end caps they are 3" in dia. and they have a single hex head screw on the bottom. Oh and the baffles are welded in, non removable..
