Default Is anyone running...

Is anyone running SE 95" Big Bore with 10.25:1 Cast Pistons, SE203 Cams, 2006 stock heads, and SERT? I know that everyone out there has their favorite set-up, but that is what I am planning for my "Budget Build". I already have jugs, pistons, cams, and some other miscellaneous parts. This build is for a 2006 EFI Deuce. I want to mimmick the Stage 3 High Torque build in the Screaming Eagle catalog. The torque curve is exactly what I am looking for. So if anyone out there has that particular set-up, I would like to know how it runs. For that matter, how does a Screaming Eagle Deuce run against a Stage 1 TC 88 Deuce? Later, Calvin.

The 203 cams will probably give you to much cylinder pressure. You might want to rethink your cam selection. With that set up you will defiantly need compression releases. If it is nothing more than a bar hopper, so be it. But if you actually plan on riding it at any lengths other than to blast around town the cylinder pressure should be more like 180# to 190# max. There are a lot of variables that add up to what your actual cylinder pressure will be. You will probably end up with a cam that closes the intake around 40* to 48*. Save this link and you can check everything as you put it together and will be able to pick a more suitable cam.

That is a package that SE offered in carb only , for what ever reason, bottom line we have pulled those cams on over a dozens builds. A local HD dealer thought they where the greatest kit to install. All they ever did was ping, by the time you pulled enough timing to make them not ping the bike ran so poorly the customers where extremely upset. There are way to many other pacakges to use. Run dont walk away from that kit.

As well not a fan of that cast piston.

Does anyone know the specs for the stock 2006 EFI cam that came in the 2006 TC 88 Softails? Big Boyz calculator says that the stock 2006 EFI cam closes at 40 degrees abdc. That sounds kind of late to me. Later, Calvin.
