Default Exhaust Help

First off, let me say “I know”. I screwed up when I put on my duals by not putting new gaskets in, and I have a leak. I’m going out to buy my new gaskets tomorrow. The problem is I can’t find my service manual. I don’t know which box it could be in since I just moved and I need to know is the specs on tighten the exhaust port bolts (lbs of torque). Also if the stock gaskets I’m going to buy has a tapered end, which end goes towards the jug, and which end goes out.

There used to be a online manual someone was sharing, but I can’t find that either. Thanks

Is t6hat both the top bolt and bottom bolt, or is that just for one, then the other?

do them a little at time alternating between them. the flat part of the gasket goes in the port first.

Default gaskets

The square side sits in the jug and the taper faces the pipe, when you install the pipes be gentle and make sure the pipe is seated in the center of the gasket and tighten both nuts up alternately pay attention to how much stud is protruding thru nut, keep it even on both studs. You might even want to re tighten them after a few days as sometimes they will seat in and loosen a bit.

I haven't done any motorcycle work, but I have done headers/cast iron mainfolds on many cars. 18 - 22 ft/lbs sounds about right for exhaust studs/nuts/bolts.

cars aint the same. You ever compare the two lol. anyway sorry to be smart but the manual says 120 in/lbs max for a reason, cause they are hard to extract once they are broken off in the head.
