My 95" HQ build was done by a guy who does ONLY HQ builds. He could use anything he wants to, but chooses to stick using HQ components. He does a lot of builds.
I recall he has done close to 10 this year so far, and this is a hobby for him.
He holds down a real job. He is also a member on this site.
Woohooooo,
HQ is the shiznit, my 120 is a blast to ride! Great quality, great support and a very rideable bike getting good mileage. You can't go wrong with one of their builds.
We just installed a HQ-0034 cams in my dads Road King. We haven't redynoed the bike yet or done any tuning yet. But the bike pulls like crazy. A local engine builder suggested the cams and I have to say it is a very good cam. I'm very interested to see the dyno numbers after some tuning. His bike is a stock 88ci, Rhinehart true duals, and a big kit for the air cleaner. Recommend Headquarters to everyone.
I had a HQs 103 sport touring on my 07 SG -- it was a blast to ride -- I could do a 15 - 20 foot rolling burnout---do clutch induced wheelies (that's how I crashed the bike--be careful doing wheelies in the parking lot) the only two bikes I could not beat in my club was a 113 and 107 (maybe I think it was more of 110+).
The HQs motor stood up to the abuse and all that I could throw at it---I now have a 08 RG and you guessed it going for the HQs 107 next month--there craftmanship is flawless -- the rideablity of the bike is exceptional does not run hot, gets good gas mileage, and you can stunt--my favorite is getting the bike sideways --- let it cruise at 5 - 10mph -- get the revs up to about 4k, drop the clutch and hold on---
