Hello all,

Quick question, I have a 2005 balanced TC 88, why is it that sometimes when I start it up, it will backfire with one loud pop as soon as it fires off, doesn,t backfire anymore after that, and it doesn,t backfire at the start all the time, just once in a while....any ideas?

when mine did that, my battery was on its way out.

might want to check that out.

are you carbed or EFI?

Ahhhh....funny you should say that, my battery DOES struggle sometimes to turn things over, this has been happenin for the last several months...ok, thanks so much for the info!

 

I rewired mine so i can start it with the lights off, then turn switch one more click to turn lights on. Helped out the starting a bit. Also get a top quality battery.
