There where rumors of that in the past.....but a rumor is nothing more than a rumor.

I predict a slow phase in of the Revolution motor on the Touring class myself. It is a good power plant and they do sound good (beefy!) when you dump the crappy stock exhaust. But a bike with a 7800 RPM redline and 147 HP sounds pretty good to me!

i sure hope so, they are only 30 years behind the jap bikes. they also should have put a 6 speed transmission in many years ago, just like the jap bikes.

The revolution motor is a high horse low torque motor. Unless some kind of reconfiguration is done (BORE & STROKE) I don't think it would work on a 800# bike very well.

I think it's time for Harley to totally redo the Revo motor. Other makers are getting huge numbers from water cooled v-twins with smaller displacements. Ducati, KTM, Suzuki, even Buell's new Rotax motor are all getting well over 150 hp and torque numbers in the mid-80's. Harley claims 125 hp from the crank which is a bull**** number. Rear wheel numbers are about 20% less.

i personally disagree with the statement that a 6 speed is necessary. I think a 5 speed geared a bit taller than stock with a higher horsepower and torquier engine works just fine. Also a heck of a lot quieter than the stock 6 speed unit!
