Default Removing air filter

I posted this in the "touring" section but it's getting buried to the bottom of the page fast so thought I'd post it here too.....

I'm trying to remove my air filter on my 2000 RKC so I can either clean it or replace it. But...I can not seem to get it off. I removed the cover, then removed the four hex head bolts that seems to hold it on. I am thinking that this air cleaner is a stage one kit because it is the round filter, not the one with the flat spot on the bottom like the stock filter. But the filter is black and has no markings on it so I'm not sure what it is.

I bought the bike 1 1/2 years ago but it only had 203 miles on it, so it was a 7 year old NEW bike. This is the filter it had on it when I bought it. The bike now has 10K on it and I'd like to clean/replace the filter. Are the four hex head bolts all that holds the filter in place? I'm thinking that it might just be stuck, but I don't want to damage anything by prying on it.
Thanks.

+1 That rubber gasket has been stuck on there 8 years....if it doesn't pop off use a thin putty knife to get underneath it.

Thanks guys...got it popped off. Was indeed just stuck to the back plate. I washed it in hot soapy water and rinsed it really good. Letting it air dry before reinstalling it. Thanks again.
