Default Removing air filter

I'm trying to remove my air filter on my 2000 RKC so I can either clean it or replace it. But...I can not seem to get it off. I removed the cover, then removed the four hex head bolts that seems to hold it on. I am thinking that this air cleaner is a stage one kit because it is the round filter, not the one with the flat spot on the bottom like the stock filter. But the filter is black and has no markings on it so I'm not sure what it is.

I bought the bike 1 1/2 years ago but it only had 203 miles on it, so it was a 7 year old NEW bike. This is the filter it had on it when I bought it. The bike now has 10K on it and I'd like to clean/replace the filter. Are the four hex head bolts all that holds the filter in place? I'm thinking that it might just be stuck, but I don't want to damage anything by prying on it.
Thanks.

Well I got the filter off with the help of a small flat screwdriver...it was stuck pretty good. I'm not sure if this is the washable type of filter, but I'll soon find out since I have it soaking in hot soapy water.

If it is paper, then forget it. If it was stuck good in the casing, then you need to wipe the grit out of both the pre-cleaner and post clean screen being, what dropped from the top of the cage is possibly down in the clean side of the cage and just saying if the grit gets sucked up is it takes one 360° to cut the cylinders and ruin a good compression that could have been avoided is super clean the cage when servicing the A/C.

If you dry the filter, you may have moved the microns to the clean side is now you defeated all that is new parts is now is not the time to cheap out on the compression is the most expensive part of the bike is you with a wipe.

If can find the part numbers on it can google and find out what type Filter it is .. When bought my 04 Heritage from a Widow whose former husband had it, she had no idea what Stage 1 or all that tech talk meant, found out it was a Stage 1 as soon as saw the filter although double checked the Numbers then got a brand new K&N Replacement Match for it and even ran better..
