Get a k and n recharge kit at the auto parts store. It consists of soap, and oil. Spray the filter with the soap and rinse as directed. Let it dry over night, and reoil.
Can anyone privide with some step by step. I assume it is real simple.
Did you actually do a search or anything? I had this novel idea of looking at the K&N website, and guess what......they actually tell you how to clean the filters!
I been riding over 30 years it is comments like this from jerks that have nothing more than to do than to be critical of a question. I called K&N and look on the web site some time ago and never was able to get an answer. The gentleman who recommended the kit was very helpful and that is the intent of this forum. If you have nothing good to say just keep you comments to yourself....
These Newbie comments must make you feel important in your life..

I don't know about you, but it took me an entire minute to pull up K&N, search the site for "Cleaning Instructions", then click on it. I also see that there are a few previous threads on here that would have come up if a search was done.
It just didn't seem like you put any effort into it at all. Merry Christmas!
I could same the same about you...I search this site as well and there was no previous discussion specific to my question..If everyone was as smart as you are their would be no reason to ask any questions. They could be figured out without this forum. Some of your questions and comments (thousand or so) have off based and serve no purpose. You too have asked question or had problems you could have done some search on too... So keep you comments off base comments to yourself....
If you don't want to answer a question don't. Nobody likes a know it all.
First off, let me apologize if anyone was offended. I have asked thousand and thousands of questions here that have previously been asked. I made a statement that could have been taken the wrong way. I have no problem owning my part in the situation.
Second, we all must remember that this is an internet forum. Relax and take it easy is my advice to others although, I, myself, have been known to get bent out of shape over rude or unnecessary posts by others. It has gone so far as certain people had called me out numerous times over some petty BS and I was given a choice as to whether I wanted them to be banned from the site. I could care less. Let them stay. This is a valuable resource for all people who ride Harley's.
Once again, you have my apolgies and I meant no harm. Please enjoy your forum experience.
