At my last update I was waiting on heads, a PC3 and some other goodys. Well PC3 came in over the weekend and the heads were picked up Monday. Well for those new to my build I went with SE 10.25 cast pistons, SE 211 cams, SE adjustable pushrods, PC3 controller, stronger SE clutch spring. I also had the heads worked over with a larger intake valve, a port job, SE bee hive valve springs and compression release valves. Also, I'm using stock head pipes with SE2 slipons with Big City Thunder baffles.
So, how did it run on its first time out? DAMN GOOOOOD! I finished putting it together this morning and road into work, at 26* a little cool, but the blood was a pumpn' and I didn't feel any cold. About 7 miles on first break in run then about 20 or so after work. I'm really pleased on how things turned out sofar, power is very, very good, the cams work great and add a nice lope to the way the engine runs. The only thing left now is a trip on the dino after a few more miles to get a fine tune.
It's a great feeling, when you finish your own build. I'm in the same boat , have to wait a few months to throw it on the dyno and map the PClll. I did a 30 mile ride the day after I finished, It was about 40* outside. Can't wait for the winter to end.
