I got his 3 angle valve seat cut on my heads...the same angle and length of angle as he does on his 800hp small block chevy engines. I'm short just a few HP though on my HD, LOL. www.hemimilitia.com
Did he port your H-D heads in addition to the valve grind?

In the old days before valve guide seals and doing top end work every 10,000 miles or less it was common to multi angle the valve instead of the seats.Simply for the reason of keeping as much meat on the seats as you can. However we played alot too cutting 5 angles on the valves as well as the seats.I think alot of it was overkill if you were just building a rider instead of a racer, but it was fun none the less.Ron

Red face Exactly

Scotty,
What exactly do you mean by "that is exactly how we do it here?"

You guys may be correct but here are the finished seats that we use every day on street builds in different stages that have set many records on the drag strip, won many dyno shoot outs, and have set Bonniville land speed records. Full radius in, radius out on both seats.

Don't get me wrong a radiused intake seat can work. I have just talked to too many head guys that really know there stuff that have tried the radius intake seat and have gone back to the angles because it makes more power. This has been on bike and auto racing applications.Just out of curiosity have you ever done any back to back testing(dyno or track mph improvements) with the only difference being a radius seat vs. a multi angle seat ? Don't take this as an attempt to insult your intelligence, I just want to know if you have done any testing that might show different results. thanks Andy

No dyno testing, just flow testing at 150"'s of depression. These are 5 axis cnc ported heads done in New Hampshire at R&R Cycle and have been tested in the lab at Dartmouth University.

Baisley's has been in business longer than R&R CYCLES but R&R CYCLES does 5 times the amount of heads that Baisley's does in a years time...

George how or what are basing your research + facts on that Baisley has more records...

George remember our deal...
