tappets
I have a 95 roadking that I rebuilt the engine on last year. SE heads 10.5 to 1 domed pistons, andrews ev51 cam. I put in new tappets now one is bleeding down. I would like to know if anyone has an opinion as to what kind of tappets I should go to. Thanks
If you do a search, you'll find a lot of stuff on tappets. The initial tappets Harley used in Evos were junk. My '92 had two fail. Harley apparently came out with a "B" version, which a lot of guys say are OK, and cheaper than any others. I don't know if they ever used the "B" version in production bikes.
Personally, I use Crane. They are more expensive, but I don't want to have to worry about my tappets ever again.

While I was doing some other work I had some time (cause I ordered a wrong part) to take apart a couple different brand tappets I had around. Now these were not the really high dollor special type that cost so much, just replacement ones.
Just as well stick with HD (Chevy) tappet. Could not find any difference to speak of.
