Has anyone here used KB pistons in a build. I'm wondering about the good, the bad, and the ugly on them. I was thinking of using their 10.5:1 HC in my 95 build. Thanks for any info.

Was going to use them in the build I have listed as with the KB flatops the valve reliefs are big enough that they did not need relieving. The only reason I used the SE was that you normaly have to open ring gap up a touch with the KB and SE just need checking. This was true in my case. This was my 1st full build and I wanted to K.I.S.S . Would not hesitate using the KB now. Many people use them in my build with zero problems.

Thanks, seemed to be a pretty decent company and that, I am leaning toward KB flat tops and shooting for a CR a little higher than I originally planned, 10-10.5:1. I still haven't settled on a cam, I'll have to talk to the guys doing my cutting and with a local indy to see what ideas they have. Thanks for your input so far.

We bore and fit lots of cylinders and pistons, our own and stuff that comes in the door. We don't use these pistons and don't see very many of them come in the door probably because they are a cast piston (made by Silvo-lite not KB) and we don't like cast pistons. Seen some drag bikes that exploded them.
