Default Engine Light

I have a 2002 FXST Softail standard...and it's finally gotten warm enough to ride...I noticed when I first start it (key on...stop button on...before it starts) there is a little red engine light on the dash...when I start it, it goes out...but after about 5 secs it will come back on for few secs and then goes out again...after it warms up it's fine....no more light...is the something that needs attention?....thanks

If you buy the service manuel , for electrical trouble shooting it will tell you how to check for flash codes, & tell you what the light is on / has come on for.
