If anything they would hurt cooling by reducing air flow.

But, they do look good when they are installed.

I doubt that they help or hurt much. I agree that they look good though.

http://www.uh.edu/engines/epi1016.htm I think the difference would be minimal either way, but they are called "cooling fins".

Don't think they cool or add heat... They clean the head bolt area up and look nice...

Default Decorative fins

If you plan to install compression releases later on down the line they are a waste of money.

If you want the engine cooler, install an oil cooler......dropped my peak temps about 20-30 degrees.

I do not want anything like that near the plugs/wire.

Ok, time for a little reality check here. These bridges cause no problems whatsoever. As far worrying about them being "near the plugs/wires," this is an unnecessary concern because they aren't near the plugs. They have a wide V cut into them on the plug side which provides plenty of clearance from the plugs and lots of room for your socket. Checking the plugs is just as easy with these bridges as without. If you like the looks of them, get them. They won't cause you any trouble. Compression releases in your future? You'll have to sell them.
